TDNet Discovery Tool
Welcome to the new Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Medical Library website! We hope you find the layout, resources attractive and helpful, and the TDNet Discovery Tool an easy point-of-entry for accessing all e-resources Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Medical Library has to offer through a single search. Discovery searches will save users time and ensure best results from various resources, without searching in multiple places. Your searches will also go through reputable open access databases such as PubMed.
The landing page is a live site. Full access to many of the resources indexed and provided through this site may only be available while onsite at Ascension St. Vincent or through a VPN.
Getting Started
Discover Search: In Discover Search, simply type your keyword or topic into the search box, and the most relevant results will appear for your research. Explore a variety of content from journals to e-books. With easy filtering options on the left side, you can narrow your results by date, resource type, subject, publisher, full text, etc. to find exactly the information resources you need.
Advanced Search : In Advanced Search, combine various drop-down options with Boolean operators. As you build your search, the search thread will appear within the search box.
Citation Matcher
The Citation Matcher is an exact article finder and may be used when searching for a specific article by DOI or PMID. You can also expand the Citation Manager, and enter Title, Author, Journal, etc.
Once you have entered enough information to uniquely identify one single article, select Match to bring up the result. You will be presented with a window offering you various methods of accessing the item.
Clicking on any of the Read Article links will bring you to a page from which you can access the full text of the item. In the event the full-text article is not available, you may be prompted to complete and submit a Document Delivery form to request access.
Library Request Form
Please use the Library Request Form - located in the top-right corner of the library homepage - for article, book chapter or literature search requests. The QR code is available should you be initiating a request from a mobile device. Completed requests route directly to our stvincentlibraries@ascension.org delegated email.
Personalize Your Experience
We suggest you create your own free account with TDNet. Click Sign up in the top navigation bar. Creating a personal account allows users to: use the Library Request Form, save searches, create Table of Contents Alerts, and bookmark frequently used resources.
